Sometimes it's more fun to show the tension before a fight, rather than the fight itself. And in this case, maybe there won't be any fight at all...

This piece borrows heavily from Meiji Era artists like Ogata Gekko and Mizuno Toshikata. I adore their work, and it was a pleasure to learn from them.

  

Translation

The larger cartouche can be translated to "Metal Machine Solid".

The smaller cartouche translates to "The snake burrows deep, then strikes."

 

Archival pigments on acid-free handmade Japanese paper.

Every print is signed and sealed by the artist.
Measures 12x17 inches.
